Harare: Zimbabwe’s new parliamentary speaker on Wednesday said power-sharing talks are still taking place.

"The talks are on," Speaker Lovemore Moyo, an official in the main oppossition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), told South Africa's Talk Radio 702.

He added that the parliament will continue to meet during the post-election negotiations.

On Tuesday, MDC criticised Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe for reopening parliament, saying he had no right to open the chamber.

Three of its deputies were arrested at parliament, MDC added.
