Manila: Philippine police said on Sunday that the bodies of six people have been recovered in two provinces hit by heavy rain since last Monday.

The dead includes a boy who drowned in a farm fertilizer pit. Police said at least four others remained missing.

Floodwaters have also forced at least 15,000 people to flee, according to rescue officials.

Heavy rain lashed farming villages in Isabela and nearby Cagayan provinces and government forecasters said more rain was expected in the next few days.
