Multan: Scores of Pakistanis gathered on Sunday to protest a US airstrike along the border with Afghanistan, calling for the government to do more to end the raids.
About 100 people in the eastern city of Multan demonstrated against the strike on Sunday, chanting "Down with America" and burning an effigy of US President George W. Bush.
One demonstrator, Arif Fasihullah, said: "The government should take concrete measures to protect the country's sovereignty instead of just paying lip service."
At least five people were killed in the strike on a town along the border on Saturday.
Pakistani intelligence officials said top militant Rashid Rauf, who is linked to a plot to blow up jetliners over the Atlantic last year, was also killed in Saturday's raid, but there was no independent corroboration of the death.
