Lahore: The Punjab Police are planning to launch a massive crackdown against hardened criminals hiding in southern Punjab who are using the inter-provincial border area as a launchpad for operations in Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan.
According to police sources, many hardened criminal gangs are provided shelter in southern Punjab by powerful landlords and politicians, who in turn use the criminal gangs to influence voters during their election campaigns.
