Kabul: An earthquake shook Afghanistan's Hindu Kush region on Saturday, and was also felt across parts of Pakistan and India.
Authorities said they expected casualties after the magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck the Afghan region.
"The quake was very strong and lasted for 10 seconds. We are expecting casualties because the earthquake was very strong," said Munshi Abdul Majid, governor of Badakhshan province in Afghanistan.
