The Eros Group and Hitachi recently unveiled the world’s first ultrathin LCD TV series in Dubai.
The flatscreen has been re-engineered from the inside out to deliver the sleek UT Series, a new generation of ultra-thin LCD panels that are a one third the depth of conventional flatscreen TVs.
With a tiny 35mm profile and weighing as little as 10.9kg, the new streamlined models are slimmer, lighter, easier to position, thus offering greater freedom of space, movement and placement in the home or commercial installations.
The new range uses the latest ultrathin IPS-Alpha panels for superior brightness, higher contrast and true colours; ensuring that its small profile doesn’t compromise on large-screen viewing performance.
“We are excited to launch this ground-breaking product from Hitachi,” said Deepak J. Babani, CEO of Eros Group, at the launch. “We are certain it will see immense success here.”
Place anywhere
With the UT Series there is no need to confine the flatscreen to a corner or with its back against a wall.
Concealed cabling and a minimalist stand, combined with elegant design details, chamfered edges and polished accents carried “all the way round” the frame ensure that each model looks as appealing from the back as from the front.
Reflecting present trends towards loft-style and open-plan living, it can be used to divide and enhance space for living, entertaining and work, providing a focus for viewing anywhere the user wants.
“Users want bigger and better viewing experiences but they also want unobtrusive devices with greater flexibility to fit their interiors and their lifestyles. The UT Series from Hitachi is designed to fit this vision,” said H. Hirose, general manager, Hitachi Gulf.
The models are available in two colours — crystal black and white musk — to complement both modern and traditional interiors.
All models can be wall-mounted but also come with a tabletop stand. An optional floor stand is available. Media box and other accessories are also available.
The UT32MH700A, UT32MH700AW, UT37MX700A and UT42MX700A are available across the UAE. The price for a 32-inch set is Dh4,299; Dh6,999 for 37-inch and Dh8,999 for 42-inch.
