Making hearts go Dingdong
Actor Dingdong Dantes is the Pilippines' new ambassador to heartthrob land. He was chosen by E! Entertainment as one of their 25 Sexiest Men in the World.
He shares space on the list with hunks like David Beckham (UK), Gilles Marini (France), Kostas Martakhs (Greece) and Dan Carter (New Zealand. The entertainment TV network says of their list, "We cover the entire globe searching for the sexiest beach-hard bodies that can melt you with their voices and crush you with their sizzling sex appeal!"
Brewing catfight
Former Filipino beauty queen Carlene Aguilar has re-ignited an old tension between her and rival Cristine Reyes.
At a recent press conference Aguilar said she does not want her son by former boyfriend Dennis Trillo (now rumoured to be Reyes's boyfriend) to get to know Reyes.
Her statement was prompted by earlier statements from Reyes that she would love to meet Aguilar's son Callix.
In subtle, yet biting words Aguilar told the press: "I would only let Callix meet Dennis's future wife. There is no need for him to meet Cristine."
Reacting to Aguilar's statements, Reyes said: "Then that meeting will happen eventually."
Judy ann santos heading to court
There's no end in sight yet for TV presenter Judy Ann Santos's tax troubles. The Philippines' Supreme Court recently turned down the actress's plea that her trial for tax evasion be reconsidered. Now a trial is set to commence shortly.
