Pop star George Michael has announced plans to release a new single at Christmas this year despite staging a series of "retirement" shows.
The singer performed at London's Earl Court on Sunday and Monday in what has been dubbed "The Final Two", fuelling speculation that he will quit touring, reports contactmusic.com.
The singer however, announced at Sunday's show that he plans to release two new songs this year.
Michael also sang a version of one of the songs Feeling Good and informed fans that the song had not yet been released but that they would be able to download it for free from Christmas Day.
He revealed that it would be released "along with a new Christmas song".
Michael's last single release in Britain was This is Not Real Love, from 2006's greatest hits LP Twenty Five.
