Syrian actor Salloum Haddad thinks that film festivals are a tool for connecting and brain storming. "I like these kind of events because it bring us together and allow us to hear each other's point of views," he said.
Haddad thinks that Arab film industry in the region is moving towards establishing the foundation of the industry. "What we have done are just great sparks. We wish to be brighter in the future," he said.
He also said that the Arab viewers are more interested in TV drama than cinema. "Arabs feel more relaxed at home watching TV - switching from one programme to another.
"But filmmakers are becoming aware of people's needs and are trying to satisfy them by providing more comfortable theatres and bringing great films," Haddad said.
