Mall ofthe Emirates
The colour will speak for itself as the Mall of the Emirates is draped in the UAE national stripes for two days. An exciting line-up of innovative and traditional festivities today and tomorrow will keep everyone entertained.
The highlight of the celebrations will be a concert by UAE's very popular first rapper group Desert Heat who will be singing two songs about the UAE of today and days gone by from their latest album. Desert Heat will perform at 8.10pm and 9.10pm on both days. A large UAE National flag will form the perfect backdrop to the stage that will be further enhanced by two specially designed wings decorated in the national colours of red, green, white and black.
In a unique initiative, a special National Day book titled The People's National Day will be placed at the Centrepoint area of MOE, allowing visitors the opportunity to write down their thoughts on what this day means to them.
Reef Mall
With Eid just around the corner, the Reef Mall is combining captivating entertainment and cultural theme shows and activities with special offers in the shops. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with special festive season fabulous offers on clothing, shoes, make-up and accessories at popular outlets including Home Center , Splash, Shoe Mart, Baby Shop, Lifestyle, Giordano, Aldo, Nine West, G2000, Bossini, Mr Price, Nayomi, Inglot, La Vie En Rose, Hour Choice and Damas, to name a few, while also enjoying the local activities.
Times Square Centre (TSC)
Children are catered for well at TSC this National Day. Among TSC's specific National Day highlights will be Al Ayalah performances, Arabian Corner and Arabian Soukh. The Arabian Corner will prominently display the portraits of the Shaikhs, as well as henna painting, falcon displays and a tea and dates corner, while the Arabian Soukh will feature various creations of the Artisans of the Emirates – from paintings, photography to numerous arts and crafts especially handcrafted by the local artisans. The Arabian Soukh will open 12noon-7pm from today until Sunday.
Le Meridien, Abu Dhabi
An Arabian Bedouin tent will be set up from 3-10pm today and tomorrow. A man, in traditional UAE dress, will serve coffee and guests can also enjoy complimentary henna painting.
