Midnight: An adorable black female adult cat. She has a heart of gold but is also very timid. With a bit of love and attention she will reward you in return.
Snoopy: A fabulous young female cat of approximately 9 months old. She has a stunning personality, is affectionate and very people-orientated. The only thing is that she doesn't like to be around other cats. She's vaccinated, sterilised and litter trained.
Tuna: This amusingly named cat is a beautiful three colour female cat. Tuna is friendly, affectionate, curious and playful. Fully vaccinated, steralised and litter trained. Tuna is approximately 3 years old. She is easy to live with and love.
Mossie: A sprightly young cat who was found as skin and bone feeding a huge litter of kittens. Extremely athletic and curious, she adores playing with anything she can get her paws on and loves it even more when her humans join in the fun. She is comfortable around strangers and loves to follow people around the house. She is happy being indoors but longs for the great outdoors.
Punkin: A 2-year-old female who has already been steralised and is up to date on all her vaccinations. She is truly a house cat: fat and lovable. She is the perfect companion for an apartment dweller — she loves kids, but doesn't get along well with other cats. Sadly she lost her entire tail in an accident — but she doesn’t seem to miss it.
Mr and Mrs: Also known as Vincent and Marg are two very sweet cats. Vincent loves to talk and curl up with you with big purrs. He comes when you call him and will sit if you ask him to in return for a back rub. Marg is the shyer of the couple but loves to snuggle up with her man. Both cats are great companions and so much fun to have around. Both are litter trained, sterilised and vaccinated.
Ginger: A 9-month-old neutered male cat. He's fully vaccinated and microchipped. He's a great fan of football and is always glued to the TV when it’s on. He’s also a sweet young man. He likes to curl up in bed with you and enjoys a good play. He's litter trained and used to living in an apartment.

Ask the vet
I'm hoping you can help with my dog's diarrhoea problem. It has been going on for some weeks now and we have tried many medicines without good effect. Our dog is mixed breed but has very sensitive stomach. He does not like dry food very much. Is there something you recommend for this condition?
Dadhichi Dae, Dubai
Dr Martin: Mild bouts of diarrhoea are common and usually self-limiting within a day or two, Dadhichi. If the problem persists it’s worth visiting your vet where the first advice will be to simplify your dog’s diet for a few days.
Bland foods such as skinless chicken and well-cooked rice may be all that is needed. If cooking special foods at home is inconvenient you can also try the specially formulated prescription foods designed for easy digestion.
Most vets will have a range of these available. Make sure that both volume and type of food are controlled and give the diet a few days to work. It’s a mistake to change foods too quickly when you fail to see an instant response.
If these simple measures don’t work or if your pet has other signs such as vomiting, lethargy or fever, your vet will want to investigate with stool and maybe blood tests to localise the region of the gut most affected and to see whether other organs such as pancreas or liver are involved.
Infections are only one group of possible diagnoses but always exercise good standards of hygiene. It is wise to wash your hands before you eat — even if you don't have pets.
