Five minutes on the red carpet with Michelle Yeoh.
Why did you choose to be an amFAR ambassador? Because they have a message that I strongly believe in and because they are a group of passionate people who know what they are talking about and what needs to be done. It is great to be able to be an actor and at the same time use our celebrity status to reach out and talk to our audience about something that is so vitally important to their health and wellbeing. This is not just for us but also for the future generation.
Do you plan to bid at the auction? Usually I do. I think it is important because when you bid you are saying yes to the cause.
What kind of films do you plan to make with your production company Mythical Films? I had a falling out with my partner and Mythical Films will not be making any movies.
What has been the best moment in your career so far? I have been privileged to have many happy moments. But the important thing is not to allow all that to take you on a ride. I know all this will go away one day but I will have great memories from it.
How do you feel about director Ang Lee receiving the Taiwanese Film maker of the year award and his film Lust, Caution winning seven awards at the Golden Horse awards in Taiwan? I am absolutely ecstatic. I loved the film. People seem to be talking only about the sex scenes, but there was so much more beyond that - so much complexity and emotional depth. Getting honoured by your own country is always special.
Why didn't you wear a Malaysian designer on the red carpet? Who is your favourite Malaysian designer? Because I did not have time to prepare for this event, but I will wear a Malaysian designer next time. My favourite Malaysian designer is Bernard Chandran.
