Abu Dhabi Airport Free Zone (ADAFZ) is located within the boundaries of Abu Dhabi International Airport.
History
Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), the owner of Abu Dhabi Airport Free Zone, was incorporated in March 2006 to spearhead a major redevelopment of the emirate's aviation infrastructure and set global standards.

ADAC's creation was part of an ambitious restructuring initiative launched by the Government of Abu Dhabi, aimed at delivering better services to support the emirate's long-term economic and tourism strategies and to help build a more vibrant economy that attracts and promotes private sector investment.
The creation of ADAFZ marks a milestone in Abu Dhabi's plans to establish itself as a dynamic business centre. The free zone will take advantage of Abu Dhabi International Airport's strategic geographical position on the crossroads between the east and west and the large -scale economic development of the emirate.
Becoming a part of ADAFZ is an easy process. Documents required include a complete application, applicant's profile and letter of intent, a business plan and the latest annual financial report (audited if available). The free zone can also help in issuing licenses that include trade licenses, service licences and industrial licenses. ADAFZ provides various benefits to its clients that include 100 per cent corporate tax exemption, 100 per cent import and export tax exemption and 100 per cent personal income tax exemption.
Investment incentives include 100 per cent foreign company ownership and a similar percentage repatriation of capital and profits.
Additional benefits include the geographical positioning of the free zone, which is located within the boundaries of Abu Dhabi International Airport, fast and efficient clearance of cargo, availability of international freight forwarders and logistical services, an online customer service, on-site customs inspection and 24-hour access to the facility.

They include fully serviced offices, warehouses and light industrial units, leased hands, cold storage facilities, conference rooms and business lounges, labour and staff accommodation and banking and insurance services.
