As you're undoubtedly well aware, Pisces, of the 12 signs you are the most idealistic. On one hand, you believe that with enough effort and inspiration you can create a life that's wonderful for you, and for those around you.
Also, as a Pisces, you believe in others. You believe the best of certain individuals — and it takes a great deal for you to be persuaded otherwise.
However, as you've been made aware, life doesn't always work this way. The world around you isn't as idealistic and those individuals who you believe in don't always live up to your hopes.
During 2008 you'll be balancing your own ideals and the amazing opportunities that come your way, with the need to face up to and deal with, certain harsh realities. This isn't nearly as bad as it sounds.
On the contrary, you're superbly positioned to benefit both from the year's thrilling developments and from your own efforts. This is particularly the case because with the powerful Saturn, accenting close ties and associates, both in a personal and a business setting, you'll find that others are able and willing to give you a hand.
Better yet, with the planet of growth and opportunity, Jupiter, giving a boost to those plans you're making and the associates you'll be making them with, certain things will just seem to fall into place.
If there's anything tricky about this, it's that because this is a year of transition, what seems straightforward won't be.
This transition is triggered by the move by the powerful planet of truth, Pluto, from the crucial midheaven of your chart, where it's been since 1995, to join Jupiter in accenting those future ventures.
Because Pluto is, on one hand, about truth and, on the other, about transformation, its move there means that, as good as you may think certain arrangements are and as much as you admire certain individuals, you may still have no choice but to face difficult facts.
Or it could be that you set goals and are excited about them, but when Pluto shows up, you discover that those goals were actually more about the ideals and objectives of others, not yours.
Pluto moves into this part of your chart, in late January, and remains there until June, then returns to the midheaven angle of your chart, where it's been since 1995, for a temporary stay.
Consequently, you might consider the first half of 2008 as a sort of trial run, a period during which you take chances on the unfamiliar. Or, if events force you to take chances, you'll understand why, and what's to be gained from such developments.
Pluto returns to this part of your chart at the end of the year, beginning a long stay, one that will enable you to refine your goals, to consider what you want to achieve and because Pluto is the planet of transformation, to achieve those goals and to benefit in remarkable ways.
So what you learn from experience during the year's first half, and what you reflect on as a result of those events during its second half, will all contribute to the decisions you make about your future.
What may be most important, however, is because Pluto is the planet of truth, you'll realise that some of the developments that you've regarded as magical are actually the result of nothing more than your efforts, both in terms of your physical effort but even more so in terms of your attention and your focus.
As a Pisces, you'll often let others take credit for the efforts you make. Yet because Pluto is all about the facts, being honest with yourself and others, you'll have to admit to yourself what you've achieved. In doing so, you'll gain something which has always been difficult for you, which is a feeling of power.
Power over situations, and even the power to persuade others or take the lead, where, before, you felt that you had to be less straightforward. You had win them over with charm or wait until the right moment to speak.
This new power may feel awkward at first but, gradually, you'll become accustomed to it until, as 2008 comes to a close and the planet of ego and energy, Mars, actually meets Pluto, which will have just returned to accent these joint activities and your goals, you'll not only realise just how important your role in these is, but you'll assume a new kind of control, power and position, one that will both give you a much needed sense of accomplishment and a new optimism about what the future holds for you.
