Dubai: Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, will felicitate members of Kapil Dev's 1983 World Cup winning squad at the 'Legends of Lords' night on October 23.
As part of the silver jubilee celebrations of the triumph, India's best cricketing achievement so far, the 14-member squad along with the team management will be part of the grand celebrations to be held in Atlantis on Palm Jumeirah.
Channel 2 Group Corporation is the exclusive promoter & rights owner for this event in the UAE.
A diamond studded trophy, designed by Gitanjali Gems worth Dh1 million, will be displayed on the occasion. The trophy will then be put up for auction for two months and the proceedings will be distributed among the Class of '83.
