Dubai: The battle for supremacy in an India-Australia series centres on India's spin versus Australia's pace.

Leading the spin attack will be Harbhajan Singh, though Anil Kumble will be expected to contribute immensely.

For the Aussies, with Shane Warne now retired, it will be Brett Lee leading their bowling attack.

The challenge for Lee will be generating pace on Indian wickets, which usually assist spin.

Harbhajan has time and again struck to push Australia to a corner. An Australian series will always be special for Harbhajan.

He made his debut against Australia in Bangalore in 1998. Though he got only two wickets in that match, he went on to become Australia's biggest tormentor.

In 2001, he took 32 wickets from three Test matches to steer India to a great victory.

For some his career highlight was the deadly seven-wicket spell in the first innings and six-wicket in the second against Australia in the Kolkata Test.

He also produced a seven-wicket spell in the first innings of the Chennai Test and an eight-wicket spell in the second innings.

Lee's debut

Brett Lee made his Test debut against India at Melbourne in 1999.

He took five wickets in his first spell in Test cricket then two wickets in the second to guide Australia to an emphatic 180 runs.

In the next Test at Sydney he destroyed India with a four-wicket spell in the first innings and two wickets in the second as the Aussies won by an innings and 141 runs.

Lee has not played a Test on Indian wickets and this series will be his biggest test yet.
