Gaza: Two Israeli air strikes on cars killed at least four Palestinian fighters in southern Gaza on Friday, security officials said.
An Israeli army spokeswoman confirmed the military air strikes in Rafah, saying that troops were targeting "terror operatives".
The first strike on Friday destroyed the car of the two Palestinian fighters who were hit. Hamas said the second later strike targeted two commanders in the area.
Rafah became the focus of international attention on Wednesday when tens of thousands of Palestinians poured into Egypt from the Gaza Strip to stock up on food and fuel.
The supply of basic commodities in Gaza has been short due to an Israeli blockade aimed at forcing Hamas to clamp down on rocket attacks.
