Occupied Jerusalem: Palestinian and Israeli peace negotiators are expected to hold talks on Monday to discuss key issues in dispute, Palestinian officials said.
Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Palestinian negotiator Ahmed Qureia and their teams will try to decide on subcommittees to discuss issues including Occupied Jerusalem, refugees, borders and Israel’s continued housing construction.
Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert have said they hope to reach an agreement by the end of 2008.
On Tuesday, the two leaders are to sit down together ahead of US President George W. Bush's visit, his first as US president.
During his three days in the region, Bush will meet with Palestinian and Israeli officials in an attempt to seal a peace deal.
