Hot spot...
If you want to go somewhere to treat yourself and your friends without having to travel far from the Shaikh Zayed area, it may be a good idea to try the new Japanese restaurant, ZUMA. Located at Dubai International Financial Centre's (DIFC) Gate Village is the new place that was established by a German chef.
You have to keep in mind, first, that this is no ordinary chain. You can come here with friends for a long, rather sophisticated dinner, should you be in the mood.
The restaurant has Japanese cuisine with an informal dining style called Izakaya. Sushi lovers can visit the Sushi Counter where the chef prepares Califormia Sushi Rolls. The other open kitchen, the Robata Grill, offers other seafood and meat dishes.
The food does not arrive in a ‘starter-main course' order, however. Those behind the idea made sure that dishes are added to the table continuously as you are having your meal.
The restaurant is two floors and is elegantly decorated. A three-dimensional wall faces the lounge area. The designer is reported to have combined the elements of Earth, Fire, Water and Air to produce the final design for the place.
The restaurant opened in Dubai following its branches set up in London, Hong Kong and Istanbul. So, the next time you feel like spoiling yourself and having a new, exotic experience, you could head in the DIFC direction.
