Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday received Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and seven new ambassadors posted to the UAE.
The President received the new envoys for France, Belgium, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Pakistan, Belarus, and the United States in the presence of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
He warmly welcomed the new envoys and wished them success in their new assignments while assuring them all support and assistance to ensure the success of their mission.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Khalifa has promoted 210 officers at the Interior Ministry to higher ranks with effect from September 2008.
