Abu Dhabi: Over 211 transactions were completed by the Fujairah Naturalisation and Residency Department during the Eid Al Fitr holidays, according to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry on Tuesday.
156 transactions were related to renewal and issue of visas. 33 were related to issuance, cancellation and renewal of residence visas while 18 cases dealt with clearing off fines for overstaying in the country. Four passports were also issued during the period.
Colonel Mubarak Rabiya Mubarak, the Director of Fujairah Naturalisation and Residency department, said the decision to continue working during the holidays was based on a decision by the Interior Minister, meant to offer best service to the public and help them complete necessary work.
