Sharjah: A massive fire broke out on Thursday at Al Ghuwair area, behind Al Rolla Square in Sharjah, that gutted several houses.
The fire erupted at 1.30pm in an old traditional house occupied by bachelors, according to a Civil Defence official.
The fire spread quickly and engulfed three nearby houses. All belongings and furniture in the houses were destroyed in the blaze.
An ambulance unit and a police patrol from Al Gharb Station rushed to the scene, along with the Civil Defence unit.
No casualties were reported. Sharjah Civil Defence was able to contain the fire before it spread to nearby shops.
