Al Ain: After a break, temperature has gone above 40 degree Celsius in some parts of the country on Sunday.
The weather, which is under the influence of south-easterly and north-easterly winds, changes with wind direction, resulting in hot and humid conditions at times.
"Evenings and nights are largely pleasant with temperature dipping to a minimum of 23 degree Celsius," said a meteorological department official.
The department has recorded some 80 per cent humidity in most of the coastal areas.
Al Ain on Sunday recorded 41 degree Celsius, followed by 40 degree Celsius in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah. The maximum temperature in Dubai and most of the northern emirates was 38 degree Celsius.
