Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has called on UAE nationals and expatriates to donate generously for the victims of the tsunami in Asian countries. In a statement, Shaikh Hamdan, who is also the chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA), said the authority in line with the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, has been sending relief assistance to the affected areas. "But the tragic rise in the number of victims and the scale of destruction has made us to double our efforts to gather more donations, both in cash and kind," he said.
