Dubai: Damas Jewellery will reward motorists who do not commit any traffic offences or accidents for three consecutive years.

Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of Dubai Police, welcomed Damas's suggestion to reward safe motorists with cash prizes and valuable awards in coordination with the Police Traffic Department.

He said the contribution of various government and private companies is important to make a success of the campaign which was launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in October.

Brigadier Eisa Aman, Deputy Director of the Traffic Department, held a meeting with representatives of Damas Jewellery to discuss the procedures of implementing the suggestion, specifying the missions of every team and the system of choosing the motorists who deserve the rewards.
