Sharjah: Several traffic and workplace accidents were reported in Sharjah last week.
A man was killed and another injured in traffic accidents. A worker was injured at the workplace and has been hospitalised in a critical condition.
An Indian man, identified as Santhanam Bersami, 60, was killed on Friday. His family is trying to repatriate his body to India.
Drunk pedestrian
A drunken man was hit by a car while he was crossing the road. Police said Nulikat Mohammad Kuti, 35, an Indian, is in critical situation at Al Qasimi hospital. They said Kuti was so drunk that he failed to check the road before crossing.
A 21-year-old Indian worker, identified as Narsi Jinkram, sustained injuries while at work. He has been hospitalised in a critical condition.
