Sharjah: Worshippers have been asked to keep an eye on their slippers and shoes while performing prayers during Ramadan as they might be stolen by thieves.
Sharjah Police have increased patrols around mosques. "The problem of thieves targeting worshippers, especially during Taraweeh prayers, increases during Ramadan ... majority of thieves targeting mosques are teenagers," said Brigadier Saleh Ali Al Mutawa, Chief of Sharjah Police.
He also warned against leaving behind belongings in parked vehicles.
