Abu Dhabi: The UAE's crude oil output on average rose 1.53 per cent to 2.66 million barrels per day (bpd) for the quarter ended June as compared with the January-March quarter, latest data released yesterday by the International Energy Agency (IEA) show.
During the first quarter of 2008, the country's oil output averaged 2.62 million bpd. For June, the UAE pumped 2.67 million bpd, higher than 2.66 million bpd in May and 2.65 million bpd for April, said the IEA.
The report said the UAE has a sustainable production capacity of 2.85 million bpd and its production capacity at the end of 2008 is seen at 2.87 million bpd.
