Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday chaired the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Federation, which was held in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The meeting was also attended by their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the emirates, Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi of Sharjah, Shaikh Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi of Fujairah and Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman.
Present also were General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and a number of Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers and ministers.
Their Highnesses Members of Supreme Council reviewed the government's accomplishment in national work over the 36 years. They exchanged views on major issues of great importance to the country and its people.
Following the meeting, Shaikh Khalifa received the Supreme Council Members, and exchanged National Day greetings.
The Rulers congratulated Shaikh Khalifa on the occasion, and wished him the best of health to lead the progress march of the UAE.
The President and Rulers also received Shaikhs, ministers, dignitaries, diplomats and officials who came to greet the leaders.
