Dubai: The Emirates National Development Programme (ENDP), yesterday announced its partnership with Takamul, the apex body for people with special needs, to support UAE nationals find suitable jobs in the private sector.
The partnership reflects ENDP's strategy to persuade the private sector on the benefits of employing UAE nationals, including those with special needs.
Azzah Al Sharhan, Director of ENDP, said that the organisation firmly believes people with special needs possess talents that can be nurtured through focused programmes.
"The knowledge and competencies acquired will help them develop a career, and contribute more to the society," she said.
At present, ENDP implements various human resource initiatives to equip young UAE nationals with the necessary expertise in different industry sectors.
In addition, it has entered into partnerships with various government organisations as well as private sector enterprises to train UAE nationals and support their professional growth.
