Dubai: The health sector is the new field to be explored by UAE national job seekers.
A training scheme has been set up by the Emirates National Development Programme (ENDP) announced a top official. Azza Al Sharhan, ENDP Director, told Gulf News about 15 job seekers are embarking on a pilot programme aimed at training and employing UAE nationals in the health sector.
"The idea behind the programme is to increase the types of jobs that Emiratis can do and thus provide a wider range of choices for them. I think that the health sector will be appealing for many of our job seekers as it socially more acceptable for many families to allow daughters to work in this sector," said Al Sharhan.
The students will have theoretical lessons as well as hands-on training and upon completion of the 12-week course will be employed in administrative jobs within Welcare Hospital.
