Karachi: Indian team coach Greg Chappell has warned his players against speaking to the media on the details of their team meeting.

He was shocked to read details of the team meeting discussions in different newspapers. The playing eleven for this Test was also printed in a local daily here despite the team management deciding to keep it a secret from the Pakistan team.

Even the team meeting discussion that Chappell was in favour of including Ajit Agarkar instead of Sourav Ganguly was leaked out immediately after the meeting. Though Chappell has pulled up his players, the team meeting is also attended by Raj Singh Dungarpur, the team manager, and media consultant G.S. Walia. Dungarpur loves to speak to the press, but off the record. Walia, on the other hand, has been known to reveal details to journalists from the Chandigarh region, especially to people who can speak to him in Punjabi.

Players too leak out information to the journalists from their region. Rahul Dravid and Chappell, in press conferences, have repeatedly denied certain incidents which took place in the dressing room.

"I cannot understand how you get these stories?" asked Chappell angrily during one press conference in Lahore.

Before every match news of whether or not Ganguly would be in the eleven has been leaked out within minutes after the decision was taken. Throughout this tour, the Pakistan team have managed to get information about the Indian team eleven even before it was officially announced.
