The IIFA workshop held on Thursday evening at Cinestar Cinemas in the Mall of the Emirates brought together Kabir Bedi and Ashok Amritraj, two Indians who have managed to achieve success at a truly international level.

Amritraj, who is the producer of box office hit Bringing Down the House and widely considered to be responsible for Jean-Claude van Damme's first success is the chairman and CEO of Hyde Park Entertainment.

He shared anecdotes and experiences of his working with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, with the 100 odd members of the audience.

Showing clips from some of his movies, Amritraj discussed the making of and behind-the-scenes goings on.

Kabir Bedi, who got international recognition after his appearance in the Bond film Octopussy, talked about his transition from Bollywood and how he has managed to carve a role for himself in international TV, theatre and film.

Bedi had the audience in splits on many instances as he shared amusing incidents and joked about his many experiences. Also present at the workshop were Jamal Al Sharif of Dubai Studio City and Nayla Al Khaja, UAE filmmaker.
