Geneva: Cristiano Ronaldo's Manchester United team-mates have launched a campaign to persuade him to stay at Old Trafford next season.
However, the Portuguese winger was offering no hope to Rio Ferdinand or Gary Neville on Sunday night, when he said "my future is good", lending more weight to the growing belief that he will join Real Madrid this summer.
Ronaldo, 23, announced via a Madrid-based Brazilian journalist last week that he hoped the two clubs would agree a fee - thought to be about £78 million - thus ending his five-year stay at United.
Ronaldo, who Sir Alex Ferguson signed from Sporting Lisbon for £12.3 million in 2003, is reportedly also seeking £200,000 a week in wages from the Spanish champions.
But after Portugal's 2-0 opening Euro 2008 win over Turkey in Geneva, Ronaldo, who edged out Joao Moutinho and Pepe to be his country's man of the match, was offering no hope to Ferguson of keeping the player, who scored 42 goals last season.
Future is good
Ignoring direct questions about any move to Spain, he said: "I need to think about my future. I know my future is good. I feel good, I feel calm.
"If you don't ask a lot of questions in your head then the football will come good. That's what I try to do every time. My colleagues, my friends, my coaches help me all the time. And I feel very good, I feel on good form.
"The speculation about my future does not affect me. No, no. I feel well. But I'm now in a mindset that I cannot allow myself to worry about these things and for that reason I am calm. After the Euro I will talk about my future."
He added: "I need to think about the Euro, this is the most important. But my focus is only on the Euro."
But United defender Ferdinand has urged Ronaldo, who only signed a five-year deal in April 2007, to end the uncertainty surrounding him and pledge his future to United.
Ferdinand said: "Only Cristiano can answer the question why he would want to leave Manchester United.... It would be nice if we can keep this side together." Ferdinand, who helped United to the double last season, is still hopeful that Ronaldo will begin the new season at Old Trafford.
Update: Injury blow for Poland
Poland captain Maciej Zurawski could miss the rest of Euro 2008 after sustaining a thigh injury in Sunday's 2-0 defeat by Germany in their opening Group B match, team doctors said on Monday.
"Zurawski has strained quads and some bleeding so he may be unavailable for the rest of the tournament," Jerzy Grzywocz told a news conference in Bad Waltersdorf. "For the moment, he will take no part in the next two games."
The 31-year-old striker is the third Polish player to be sidelined by injury in their Euro 2008 campaign after midfielders Jakub Blaszczykowski and reserve keeper Tomasz Kuszczak pulled out during the build-up.
