Dubai: Asiatic Boy travelled easily when breezing over 600 metres at the Nad Al Sheba track yesterday and the indications were that there will be further gains for when he runs in next Saturday's $6million Dubai World Cup.
The wheels appeared to be firmly in motion as the Mike de Kock-trained colt travelled very well on tight reins with plenty in hand.
He started to canter from 1,600 metres and picked up pace from 800 metres to clock 38.20.53secs for 600 metres and 24.95 for the last 400. Oracle West, who runs in the Dubai Sheema Classic, also impressive.
The Herman Brown-trained horse cantered from 1,600mts and picked up gradually negotiating the final bend. He moved on the bit with plenty in hand to time 40.10secs for 600metres and 26.60 for the final two furlongs.
Godolphin Mile contender Jet Express also did little wrong in his preparation for the $1million race, on the Dubai World Cup card. Trained by Ali Rashid Al Raihe at the Grandstand Stables, Jet Express travelled handily through his 1000 metre worked out and responded well in the final 200 metres.
Star Crowned, trained by Rashid Bouresly, worked ahead of a shot at the Dubai Golden Shaheen.
He moved on a tight rein clocking 34.12secs over 600 metres and 22.39 for the final 400.
