Dubai: The Nad Al Sheba Racecourse wore a busy look yesterday as several leading international contenders for Saturday's showpiece meeting stretched their legs.

Brass Hat, who will bid to secure a sixth victory for America in the $6 million Dubai World Cup, had his first feel of the dirt surface that is often compared to Churchill Downs.

Winner of the Group 1 Donn Handicap at Gulfstream Park three weeks ago, Brass Hat was not asked to do much and only trotted around the track.

The five-year-old son of Prized, who defeated two of his fellow American Dubai World Cup contenders, Magna Graduate and Super Frolic, in the Donn, looked in the pink of condition.

Super Frolic, who was a close fourth to Saint Liam in the Breeders' Cup Classic (Grade 1) at Belmont Park last year, breezed with his work rider.

Relaxed Gesture, Christophe Clement's $5million Dubai Sheema Classic (Group 1), contender and former Godolphin trainer Eoin Harty's Shamoan, who is being aimed at the $1 million Godolphin Mile (Group 2) starter), also stretched their legs at pre-dawn.

UAE Derby (Group 2) hope Dominguin and Dubai Duty Free (Group 1) challenger Whilly followed while Julio Canani's three-time Group 1 winner Island Fashion, a contender for the Mile had a trot around the course.

Proud Tower Too, a leading contender for the $2 million Dubai Golden Shaheen (Group 1) sprint, had his first look at the Nad Al Sheba course as did Thor's Echo and Jet West. The latter had an easy hack canter.

Fields of Omagh, who is looking to give Australia a second success in the $5 million Dubai Duty Free (Group 1) after Elvstroem's historic win last year, was also out for a stroll.

Singapore's My Royal Captain, a runner in the UAE Derby, breezed 1,000 metres in 58.1s, covering the final 400 metres in 22.1s.
