Pictures capturing the rich cultural traditions that can be found in the UAE are on display to raise money for a worthy cause.
Photos of the Past, organised by Dubai Ports and Customs Authority, showcases the work of 27 professional photographers as part of DSF's Carpet Oasis.
Proceeds from the exhibition, featuring 120 black-and-white snapshots, will be donated to the Ras Al Khaimah Special Ability Centre.
The participants, largely from the UAE but also from Iraq, Canada, and East Asia, are all aged between 18 and 35. Organiser Maitha Sagar Al Marri said the aim of the exhibition was to encourage the talented youth of the UAE to find interest in the rich past left to them by their forefathers and to discover their identities by understanding the history of the country.
The exhibition, in the western hall of the Dubai Airport Exhibition Centre, is open daily from 10am to 10pm on weekdays, and 4pm to 11pm on Fridays for the duration of DSF.
