The saloon doors swing open, the sheriff steps out and the youngsters scream with excitement at the cowboy's shots being fired across the mall.
But instead of bullets from a gun, the shots come in the form of more than 20 nimble acrobats flipping, spinning and darting towards the audience.
Needless to say Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) Adventure Surprises at the Times Square on Shaikh Zayed Road was an instant hit with shoppers.
As the audience clapped along, the young acrobatic troupe from Russia began a lively pop show.
Stunts
Acrobats as young as six years old were thrown effortlessly into the air and caught by colleagues who were, more often than not, skipping or back-flipping themselves.
Timing was of the essence as each member relied whole-heartedly on the next.
An impressive line-up of stunts kept the audience guessing, culminating in a giant skipping routine for the grand finale.
While some skipped with ropes within ropes, others performed back-flips, press ups and somersaults through the ropes which were spun in time with the tunes.
Children clapped, cheered and shouted as the show drew to a close and the stage was cleared for the next act.
Rodeo bull
That was when the cowboy fun really began as five Stetson-clad, leather tasselled cowboys from Lebanon hit the stage.
Audience participation was paramount as the cowboys and cowgirls got everyone involved with the routine. A juggler weaved his magic batons while the others got everyone clapping along in time.
Meanwhile, the rodeo bull went down a storm with people of all ages. An orderly queue was formed and passers-by giggled and roared with laughter as each contestant was eventually tossed from the mechanical animal.
