Dubai: The popular Arabic cuisine among Dubai's residents and visitors will be on display at the Arabic Cuisine show being organised at the BurJuman Centre on July 9 from 6pm onwards as part of the DSS-2006 Food Surprises week. This will be the last of the three cuisine shows of the Dubai Cuisine Festival. Asian and European cuisine shows were held at the Mall of the Emirates, sponsored by Nestle and Better Life, respectively. The Arabic Cuisine segment is being conducted by Bab Al Shams Desert Resort, part of the Jumeirah hospitality group which has been a great supporter of the DTCM initiatives for the DSS over the years. Bab Al Shams chefs will be preparing a selection of representative and popular cuisines from various Arabian Gulf states and other parts of the Arab world.
The whole exercise is intended to introduce a larger number of people from the outside world to the Arab world's culinary delights. BurJuman Centre visitors of the day will have the opportunity to watch the cooking demonstrations for the Arabic cuisines in addition to gaining further knowledge about the Arabic food world. A variety of programmes are being conducted each evening until July 12 at five of Dubai's most-frequented shopping malls. Backed by a Dh5 million budget, Food Surprises has an impressive lineup of more than 300 activities.
