With perfect elegance and some laughs thrown in for good measure, the World On Ice show at Global Village will have you on the edge of your seat.
One of the latest attractions to open at the Global Village is the World On Ice show, a well-known ice circus from Hungary. The show offers an entertaining blend of acts with something for all ages ranging from clowns and acrobats to skilful ice skaters and dancers.
Impressive
Dressed in colourful traditional costumes, the Hungarian performers glide gracefully on the ice, performing amazing pirouettes, lifts and squats and lively folk dances.
The impressive acrobatic performances range from a woman dancing on a hoop suspended from the ceiling to a balancing act by a couple that features impossible-looking lifts, including the woman supporting the man on her knees.
And the clowns will have you in splits with their own brand of acrobatics and sumo wrestling on ice.
"Our show displays the culture and folk music and dance of Hungary.
But with this unique and wonderful venue of the Global Village in mind, we have choreographed a special international themed show incorporating elements from the folk music and dance of various countries such as Mexico, France and Russia," said Veronica Banedek, owner of the show.

"We performed in Bahrain this summer and are happy to have been invited to Dubai during the Dubai Shopping Festival.
The 2000 square foot ice theatre we have set up has a seating capacity of 900, and we hope UAE residents and visitors from around the world will come to watch our show and enjoy it," she added.

The World on Ice show is held daily at 8.30pm at the ice theatre located near gate 5 of the Global Village. Tickets for the show are priced at Dh35.
