Aspiring filmmakers are being put to the test in a special DSF competition
Home video enthusiasts have a chance to show off their talent during DSF with a special event at Century Mall.
The Best Home Video Contest is looking to tap into the creativity of ordinary members of the public who have a story to tell.
Whether it's a funny episode, a sorry tale or an exciting adventure, participants are being invited to turn that story into a film with a hand-held camera. Any interesting moment captured randomly and edited into a meaningful sequence will qualify for the contest.
Entries can be brought to Century Mall from now until February 14. Qualifying entries will be screened at the mall and there will be early-bird prizes offers for the first 100 entries.
The films will be judged in each of the following categories: best drama; best action film; and best comedy. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each category and one mega prize will be awarded to the best overall video.
An award ceremony will then be held at the mall accompanied by a Grand Variety Entertainment Programme.
