The thrills and spills of Global Village have already attracted more than 20,000 people to the fun-filled Dubai Shopping Festival venue.
From 4pm each day you can literally feel the excitement building as the sea of cars and 4x4s weave their way into the giant car parks on Emirates Road.
Families seem to arrive and wait for the gates to open earlier and earlier each day in the hope of picking up a bargain and enjoying the atmosphere.
And as the doors finally creep open, carnival dancers and magicians entertain the crowds as they make their way into the park.
Global Village is a shopping destination with something for everyone.
Funfair
For the youngsters there is a giant funfair which caters for children of all ages as well as staff at hand to make the evening more enjoyable for all.
Children this week were captivated by the magic of water and washing up liquid as they played with bubble makers while their parents took to the many colourful shopping pavilions from around the world.
The funfair is always a hit with the teenagers, many of whom head to Global Village to enjoy an evening with friends.
Asha Munror, 21, stopped for two seconds to speak to tabloid! before heading off to meet friends by the Ferris wheel.
She said: "I can't stop — me and my friends are going on the big wheel and I'm really nervous."
After managing to calm her nerves she added: "I love DSF because it means I get to spend time with friends away from my parents. They are shopping but I get to come over here and hang out with the girls when we're not all cooped up in a classroom. It's great fun and I will probably try and come about three times a week. I never get bored of the rides and games."
The fair, which attracts millions of people every year, has a lot of exciting games and adventurous rides, carefully selected to ensure the highest possible safety standards depending on age, height and weight restrictions.
Facelift
True to its status as a melting point of world cultures, Global Village hosts various plays and shows to meet different tastes and interests.
This year Global Village has had a facelift like no other. With intricate canals and waterways built around the park, it is a picturesque place for an evening of fun, retail therapy and entertainment.
Thousands of people enjoy folkloric plays and entertaining cultural performances at the well-designed stage that accommodates thousands of people at once.
But that's not all. As well as stage shows and prize-giveaways, there are also shows from renowned music artists from all over the world.
