Amr Diab, the Arab singing sensation, will perform in Dubai on February 1, as part of mega concerts organised under the Dubai Shopping Festival umbrella.
The venue: Megabowl in Area A at Zabeel Park.
Following the tremendous success of last year's concert, the singer's fans will have the chance once more to hear him live in the first concert planned at this new venue.
Of course, be ready for surprises as Diab will be backed by a state-of-the-art sound and light system.
You can access the venue through Zabeel Park's gates 1 and 3. Ticket price includes park entrance fees and there's plenty of parking available. Doors open at 6pm with Amr Diab set to be on stage at 9pm.
Huge success
Suhaila Gobash, DSF Events Manager, said, "Amr Diab has a huge fan base in Dubai and after the success of his concert last year, we thought it was only natural to organise another show this year. DSF 2008 will see some of the biggest musicians perform in Dubai."
Amr Diab's latest album, released in July 2007, has taken off hugely in the region and the singer is elated over his upcoming performance in Dubai.
"Dubai is one of my most favourite cities in the world. I enjoy coming here to perform or just being with my family on holiday. It's a city where there is always something new to discover — always full of surprise experiences," Diab said.
"And I promise my fans that this year's concert in Dubai will be, as always, unique and full of surprises," said the singer.
Fans
Last year, several fans flew in from around the world to attend Diab's concert. They came from places such as the US, French Reunion Islands, Germany and Iran. More are expected to make the trip this year.
Tickets for this show, priced at Dh125 for regular standing and Dh225 for front-of-stage standing, are available online from www.showbizme.com etc. They can also be bought from Virgin Megastores and Splash stores in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
