Scores of visitors are being drawn to a colourful wedding show at the Heritage and Diving Village during DSF.

The Al Shindagah site is showcasing the ceremonies of traditional UAE weddings as part of the festival's heritage activities throughout the month.

If you missed the first staging of a Bedouin wedding on New Year's Eve, you have another chance on Friday from 6pm to 9pm.

Colourful

The Shhi wedding (of the mountain people) staged on New Year's Day saw festivities enjoyed in the form of music and dance. The colourful affair, spiced up with all the pomp and show of a traditional wedding, will be repeated on January 19 from 6pm to 9pm.

Another ceremony special to the region is the Hader wedding, specific to the people who live by the sea. It features music and dance, alongside the beating of traditional drums and will be held on January 26 between 6pm to 9pm.

So, for an authentic glimpse into what it's like to tie the knot the traditional UAE way, visit the Heritage and Diving Village, in Al Shindagah.
