Screams, laughs and shouts of joy can be heard from the Al Seef Night Souq fun fair. Children whirl around in the dodgems, go round and round on the rides and are taken to great heights on the giant ferris wheel.

And if that's not enough, just observe the young visitors waiting patiently in a queue for candy floss, toffee apples and chocolate pancakes. You'll see really happy faces.

The atmosphere is exciting and you can feel it from a distance. And the fireworks in the evening only add to the fun.
Edward Yamaka had one of the best views as the bangs and booms began.

He said: "I wanted to be on the ferris wheel to watch the fireworks, That way I thought I wouldn't have to battle for the best spot on the edge of the creek. I didn't have to worry about someone tall standing in front of me and I made the right choice. I had the best view in the house!"

Six-year-old Isma was also enjoying the party. She said: "My favourite is the dodgems. I am too small to go on them but I have been watching my sister and they make me laugh when they hit other cars. I can't wait until I am big enough to ride them. I love the candy floss too because pink is the best colour in the whole world."
