Dubai: A film that stars a string of Hollywood A-listers and details the run-up to the murder of US presidential hopeful Robert Kennedy will open Dubai International Film Festival.
Bobby, which features Demi Moore, Sharon Stone, Christian Slater, Martin Sheen and Elijah Wood, has been chosen for the December 10 opening.
Abdul Hamid Juma, the chairman of the festival, said: "Having Bobby as the opening night film at DIFF sets the tone for the entire festival's diverse programme of ground-breaking international and regional cinematic productions."
Bobby was written and directed by Emilio Estevez and features nearly two dozen characters whose lives intersect on the night Kennedy was shot.
The film received its premiere at the 2006 Venice Film Festival, where it was nominated for a Golden Lion award.
