It is difficult to capture every single unfolding movement of a city that is continuously moulding itself, how tempting it may be. The task at hand was demanding, for Dubai derives its dynamism from being on the edge of constant change.
It was hectic trying to encapsulate the essence of the city in 24 hours — mainly because Dubai is youthful, energetic, defiant, and colourful, and as such enjoys the thrill of a daring achievement as much as the dangers of a risky adventure. This was not a simple task, as balance and representation for each page had to be ensured while showcasing Dubai’s myriad moods.
Needless to say that the pictures displayed would not have been possible without the four main sectors: electricity, water, telecommunications, and roads. As a result, a feature section on these areas is also included.
