Al Ain: Professional and amateur photographers are invited to submit work for an exhibition taking place on the sidelines of the Al Ain Aerobatics Show. The Eye in Al Ain Sky exhibition will feature photographs with an aviation theme. It is being organised by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, with the cooperation of the UAE Plastic Arts Society. Fatima Brouk, exhibition coordinator and a member of the UAE Plastic Arts Society, announced the competition yesterday saying it was open to all professional and amateur photographers from the UAE and abroad. The theme of each photo should be aviation and aircraft. Both manual and digital cameras can be used, she said. Fatima said contestants needed to submit a clear 30cm by 40 cm photograph without a frame. "Photos can be colour or black and white but should be of high quality," she said.
A form needs to be filled in and signed by the contestant and should be attached with the photo. Professional photographers should also attach their biographical data along with their entry. Participants' skills will be judged via a set of technical criteria, she said. Pictures will be judged on innovation, creativity and quality. The deadline for the submission of photographs is January 7.
