The Dubai Fashion Fiesta was launched to bring together designers, buyers and fashion enthusiasts and attracts wide media attention due to the inclusion of high-profile participants. Participants last year included Lloyd Klein, Satya Paul, Sa Soie, Falguni and Shane Peacock, Aida Korman, and Deepika Gihani.
Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra

A get-together of talented youngsters, the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra is known for its rendition of Western classical music. The majority of the performers are students from many of Dubai's schools.
Disney High School Musical

The Disney High School Musical takes cue from the Emmy Award-winning American television film by the same name. Known for its brilliant soundtrack, the Disney High School Musical event during DSS 2008 will include participants from Dubai who will go through rigorous training to present Dubai's very own Disney High School Musical show.
Oliver! the Musical

Based on the book by Charles Dickens, Oliver! the Musical will run for three days and feature a combination of songs and drama. It will also feature a competition of sorts when children from schools in Dubai are trained to act in the Musical. A must-see event for the whole family.

Football Juggler

An amazing display of skills in juggling, controlling and pulling off tricks with a football.
Dance Heads Activity

Dance Heads superimposes images of participants' heads on professional dancers' bodies while they sing along to some of the greatest pop hits. Fully animated backgrounds add to the outrageous effect. Monitors allow viewers to watch participants become singing and dancing stars.
Music Appreciation Exhibition

A colourful, hands-on, fun and interactive display exploring the melodic sounds of musical instruments. Children are invited into a colourful playground of musical instruments and interactive displays featuring the giant piano, the invisible harp, the musical wall and the giant panpipes. This exhibition allows youngsters to develop a greater appreciation of music and will push their playful creativity to the limit.
The Acrobat Show

A 14-member group from Europe will perform acrobatic stunts that will leave the audience mesmerised.
Jungle Exhibition

A jungle adventure for the entire family. Visitors will encounter some of nature's wildest creatures. Meet the noisy hippopotamus as he bathes next to the tropical waterfall; turn a corner and see the ferocious lion hiding amongst the banana leaves; or visit the old explorers' tree house and see the monkeys swinging from the vines and branches.
