UAE-based theatre group Pratibimb will present a comedy play in Hindi titled Ballabpur Ki Roop Katha at Al Qasba, Sharjah tomorrow.
The play, written by well-known Bengali playwright Badal Sarkar is set in the '60s. t's based on the situations that arise when a family of rich landlords are forced to sell their land and house to sustain their opulent lifestyle in post colonial, independent India. The comedy also conveys a profound social message.
Pratibimb has staged over 30 performances of 15 plays in English and various Indian languages.
Venue: Al Qasba Date: May 9, 8pm onwards
